Message Well, I got the TT fuel pump in last night and turned the boost up to about 1.05bar. It was not feeling right like it kept cutting off at peak and I didnt know whats up. That was at half a tank. Then as I was prepping up for the race, the car started feeling like there wasnt any gas goin into it. This was about 1/4 of a tank of gas left. I then swapped the NA fuel pump back in and voila, it started right up fine.
For sure, I know that its the design of the TT fuel pump that is causing my car to not boost correctly. We'll get more into that later.
So, i put the NA pump back in and set the avc-r back to 13pounds w/ a 52% duty cycle.
Went to the track to race a supra freind of mine. First run I got was a 14.0. I wasnt used to this much power. Second run against him, I hit a 13.5, YES!!!! I ran 3 more runs and it was consistently around there. So I tell the guy that I'm boosting 13 pounds only and he then tells me he's boosting 18 so I"m happy. His best time was a 13.4.

The 2+2 NA FUEL pump and the TT fuel pump is designed differently. The 2+2 pump has the sock attached right underneath the pump as opposed to the TT having the long hose w/ the sock attached to the end. So in other words, when I put the TT pump in, it was sucking gas only when there was alot of gas but when the gas went low, it wasnt sucking in enough gas. I'm going to modify it tomorrow so 16POUNDS here I come.

P.S. Soco's came for his first time drag racing and got a 14.1. NOt bad for the mighty automatic. =)
